Salvation Army Bell Ringing - 2011

Our annual bell ringing for Salvation Army was at WalMart this year, as opposed to our usual location in Ocean County Mall, on Saturday, December 17.  Seven of us participated, and we were there from 9AM until 2PM.  It was a very successful day!

Salvation Army Holiday Shop

Eileen, Anne, Christina and John M worked at setting up the S.A. Holiday Shop (kids’ toys and clothes) at the East Dover Firehouse on Sunday, December 12.  Anne also brought her kids and a neighbor to help.  They each put in over three hours that day.  The items were then available for pickup by parents on December 13, 14 and 15.  When we left on Sunday, the tables were piled high with hundreds (maybe thousands) of donated toys and clothes for kids ages zero to 18!

Kiwanis Night at the BlueClaws

Friday, August 19 was the annual Kiwanis Night at the BlueClaws.  Many of our members and families attended and saw the BlueClaws win.  Our division sold 50/50 raffle tickets to support Children’s Specialized Hospital, and Eileen, Marna, John K and John M took care of one of the four tables.  The weather was soggy, but we had fun!
